DENVER (September 16, 2010)—Eleven new potato breads, made with US dehy, were recently launched in the Philippines. Pan de Pugon, Sugarhouse, Liberty Foodmart, and Simply Bread participated in the United States Potato Board’s (USPB’s) Potato-rrific Bread Fiesta in June 2010 and introduced their own unique potato breads to their customers. “We are privileged to have worked with these wonderful companies and look forward to an ongoing partnership with them,” stated Reji Retugal-Onal, USPB representative for the Philippines. The USPB has a program wherein companies who wish to launch food products using US dehy are supported with technical training, product samples, and publicity support. Pan de Pugon, Sugarhouse, Liberty Foodmart and Simply Bread were each featured in their own full-color advertorials in a leading newspaper as part of the tie-in promotion. “We plan to conduct more similar tie-in promotions with other companies and help spread the good news that is US dehy,” remarked Ms. Onal. |
